Here are 5 things you should stop feeling guilty about, In life as long as your happy and happy with the way your life is well then there should be no time feeling guilty about nonsense…
1. Avoiding Nights out on the town.
Yep a night in is always better than having a night out, you don’t have to get all dressed up, you don’t have to queue to get into nightclubs, or have wait for taxi home and the end of the night, a lot of people would argue with me and say the weekend is the best time ever and your should be going out so call me boring I’m happy out spending my Saturday night chilling at home.
2. Not having a Career.
I turn 27 in February 2017, but in September this year I plan on going back to college and do you know what I do not feel one bit guilty not having my career sorted yet, I don’t think anyone really knows what they want to do in their early twenties and it 100% takes getting into your mid twenties to finally make a leap and choosing a career that is truly going to make you happy, So don’t worry if you haven’t got that sorted yet it will eventually.
3. Binge watching Box-Sets.
No regrets in doing this, I’m not the only one and won’t be the last one to go and do it. It makes me happy, it’s something to do in the evenings and on a lazy Sunday afternoon, bliss.
4. Saying NO to someone.
You don’t have to be a people pleaser, Saying know is something I don’t do enough if someone asks me to do something I will usually cave and say Yes and then moan about it after! So don’t be scared to stay know to someone for whatever reason if you don’t agree or want to do what they ask just say no and move on no need to apologise for it.
5. Your personal life.
Your personal life basically means it’s personal and it’s no one else’s business, nothing annoys me more than when you meet someone you haven’t seen in ages and the first two questions they ask are “Where are you working now? Or another way it’s said “What are you getting up to lately” and the second question is always “Any fella in your life” I would just love to reply to them and say #1 None of your god damn business what I am getting up too and #2. No I am single and I am the happiest i have been in a long time, are you happy with them answers? Why can’t people just ask how are you? Have a little catch up and move on don’t start asking about relationship status or job status if I wanted to tell you this information I would!
Lots of love,
This week I am in Essex taking care of my niece Ava Rae and today we went to Hopefield Animal Sanctuary in Brentwood, Essex back home in Ireland where I live we have a sanctuary but it’s mainly cats and dogs but in Brentwood the sanctuary has loads of different animals horses, turtles, pigs, birds, snakes, ferrets, rabbits and so on, The place was jam packed, in all the time I have been coming over to visit my brother and sister-in-law I never knew about hopefield until this visit and by golly I was missing out, it is lovely! I love animals, all animals and if I had my way I would have a house full of all different kinds, at the moment I would love a bunny and a turtle (Thanks Hopefield I feel in love with a little grey bunny today)
I believe that all animals matter and deserve love and the best care humanly possible they are part of the family, I could never mistreat any animal in anyway and HATE that there are people out there that are so hateful and cruel and would mistreat animals, so this sanctuary made me quite sad at first but then I seen what good care and love they are all getting, it’s excellent and heart warming to see, as it means they can live the rest of their days in peace, they didn’t seem to mind all the kids screaming and shouting and most of them were coming to the fence of their enclosure to get a rub, even the pigs! Was amazing to see!
I took no pictures as I wasn’t sure if I was aloud or not!
The Sanctuary runs on donations only so being able to give a little to help with the care of the animals makes me feel great, as I said before I am a massive animal lover! If you are ever in Brentwood or London it is defo worth the train ride into Brentwood to the Sanctuary to help support the team them and the animals!
HERE is their website so go check it out!!
Please, if you have local Animal Sanctuary that are just running on donations please go help and donate even if its just blankets or food or even a couple of quid it all helps!
As today is a rainy dull day I decided that I was going to attempt to make some shortbread, I have never made it before so this is a first, I seen Martha (From Great British Bake Off) making them on Tastemade on Snapchat the other day and thought hmmm they look easy to do I’ll give it a go!
I made mine a bit different I didn’t want to add honeycomb and chocolate on the edges of the shortbread instead I just added it all into my batter.
225g plain flour
75g caster sugar
100g caster sugar
2 tablespoon golden syrup
1tsp bicarbonate of soda
150g dark chocolate
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and line a baking tray with baking paper.
2. To make the Honeycomb, stir the caster sugar and golden syrup in a saucepan over a high/medium heat until the mixture it melted into a deep amber colour then remove the pan from the heat and quickly mix the bicarbonate of soda then pour the bubbling sugar into the lined baking tray and leave it to the side to harden up.
3. To make the Shortbread, Add the flour, caster sugar and butter into a blender/food processor and mix it all up until the mixture clumps together, Once the mixture is combined pour it out onto a large sheet of clingfilm.
4. Place the hard honeycomb into the food processor and pulse until it’s chopped into small pieces, Add half the honeycomb to your shortbread mixture and knead it in, (this is where I added in a tiny bit of chocolate so it melts nicely in the dough (not pictured, doh)) then roll into a log and place in the freezer for 15 minutes.
5. Slice the Shortbread mixture into as many round pieces you like and bake them in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes.
And ta-da you should have some yummy honeycomb chocolate shortbread to munch on with a cup of tea! Deeeeeeelish
So today I wanted to speak a bit about Mental Helath and some places you can go to get help if you need too! Just know you are not alone!
Having a Mental Health disorder can be hard, it can feel like you are totally alone and no one will understand what is going on in your head if you were to say everything you were thinking out loud, It can be extremely disheartening and isolating. 1 in 4 of us suffer from some type of mental health difficulty in our lifetime, you might suffer from something that you can pull yourself out of and other may suffer and have to seek help else where from a doctor or medication but what everyone needs to know is that no matter how you feel there are people and places to go to get help and there is no shame is saying that you need an extra hand, asking for help means you are taking care of yourself and want to get back on the right road may it be long or short!
People you can go to for help, if you feel family and friends aren’t going to understand! The first place you should go is to see your GP, They will send you in the right direction and are a great support along the way & they will always be there if you just need a little chat!
You can also go and seek help from Counselling and psychotherapy services, if you just want to get to the root of the problem and don’t want to go see a GP well then there are plenty places to go and get Counselling and psychotherapy services, but going to your GP can send you in their right direction and they can recommend some names and places to go. Even if you didn’t want to go speak to someone face to face you can build up to that by using helplines or online forms or even closed groups on Facebook. There are plenty of places to go and seek some advise or just someone to rant to if you need it!
Don’t ever feel like there isn’t help out there because there is! It’s all around you, you just can’t see it because it’s not right in front of your face, you have to go looking for it! But it’s there!! There are some lovely qualified understanding people waiting for you to start on your road to recovery and to help you cope with your mental health and to help you understand more of whats going on with your mid and body!! YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

So I have never been a Tea drinker, To be completely honest the smell of tea with milk actually makes my want to gag, Yes I am Irish, Yes they say it’s blasphemy if you’re Irish and don’t drink Tea, blah blah blah! But over the past year I have really started getting into the whole Tea thing but not black tea, but herbal tea!
The thing with herbal teas is, there are so many to match your mood and they are so good for you! Here are some of my favourites are the goodness they bring!
When blogging have a cup of tea..
Always have a cup of Ginger & Lemon on hand!
TUMMY PROBLEMS? COLD? FLU? NEED A BOOST?
Lemon & Ginger – My absolute favourite!!! It’s great for the digestion, so if you have a dodgy tummy like myself it’s always good to have a lemon and ginger tea on stand by, It also helps me when I have a sore throat or a cold the ginger is great for clearing the mucus and all that nasty business that comes along with cold, You can also add some honey to help soothe a sore throat, the other benefit of drinking lemon and ginger tea when you have a cold is you are getting loads of Vitamin C as lemons are packed full of it, so happy days!! It also give you a good bust when you are feeling bit run down.

If lately you are looking for something nice to do and have no idea what, well then look no further here are 5 good deeds that you can do and spread so positive vibes!
1 – Give to the homeless.
If you pass someone on the street that are sitting it cost you nothing to drop a few quid into their hand or to even run into a coffee shop and grab them something warm to drink and a sandwich. It might not be much but it’s something!
2- Help an elderly neighbour.
Everyone leave near to a elderly person why not drop by for a chat or ask them if they need anything from the shop.
If you have a bit of free time why not fill it with something productive and help out around the community or in your city.
4- Buy Cat/Dog food & drop it into your local Animal Shelter.
Especially in winter, I know my local animal shelter always need emergency food, blankets and bits and bobs for the animals around winter, So why not have a clear out of old blankets you don’t need and drop them up, they will ALWAYS come in useful to the animals.
5- Leave money in Parking metre/Vending Machine.
Have you ever drove somewhere and saw that you needed to pay for parking but had no coins for the machine, it’s so annoying! So wouldn’t it be lovely if someone left a quid in the machine for you? Yeah it would be ace! So why don’t you be that person and makes someone day a little easier, why not leave a little note on the machine and ask them to carry on the good deed?
Lots of Love & Happy Weekend,
